Vilnius Congress Centre - Vilnius at MIPIM

Vilnius Congress Centre ( A. Tumėno  g.4, Vilnius)

Size: 31 500 m2, Investment opportunity in Vilnius monumental building

Vilnius Congress Centre is a multifunctional, strategically located venue for international conferences, congresses and events.

Historical memory: on the south-western corner there is a memorial stone to the volunteer soldier A. Sakalauskas, who died for the independence of the Republic of Lithuania, but it is not given a dignified attention and it is recommended that it be moved away from the carriageway and the surrounding area be cleaned.

Transport links: strategically located, relatively well accessible at off-peak times. Easily accessible from the central business district of Vilnius on Constitution Avenue, the New Town and Old Town, railway and bus stations.

Accessibility on foot: in terms of accessibility from the potential accommodation points, accessibility is possible, but not representative, hampered by physical barriers

Attractions: Many attractions are concentrated in the south-eastern part of the analysis area (centre/old town). The area around the project site is dominated by cultural sites and monuments.

Visitor services: Most of the catering establishments are open during office hours (8am-5pm). Concentration near or adjacent to Gediminas Avenue. No other additional visitor facilities (toilets, info centre, bus stop, etc.) are located nearby.

Green spaces: lack of green spaces, especially creating a barrier between the intensive transport infrastructure and buildings, and recreational spaces, the street restricts access to the riverbank, lack of crossings

Parking and Shelters: the site is adjacent to the environment, where there is an identifiable shortage of parking spaces, and in the event of a disaster, only 12 800 people could be sheltered. The site could provide an underground car park to shelter civilians in the area in the event of a disaster, with immediate access for people with disabilities.

Future development: Large-scale development projects are planned over the next 15 years, leading to an increase in the number of residents and businesses, improved physical infrastructure, and better transport links
