Like a number of other European States, Lithuania has a compulsory health insurance system in place that requires residents of Lithuania to pay compulsory health insurance contributions.

Once you are registered and have begun paying contributions, you are guaranteed compensated healthcare services from the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund.
