Recent Update on COVID-19 Related Restrictions

As of 13 September, all contact services and economic activities shall be carried out and events organised (except for the established exceptions) only for persons who can present a valid EU Digital COVID Certificate.

WITH EU Digital COVID Certificate:

Contact services, economic activities, commercial and non-commercial cultural, entertainment, sporting events, celebrations, fairs, festivals or other organized gatherings of people in a public place for a certain pre-established period of time shall be organized in accordance with the conditions established by the Head of Emergency State Operations.

WITHOUT EU Digital COVID Certificate following services will be limited:

  • indoor events, open-air cultural, entertainment, sporting events, celebrations, fairs, festivals with more than 500 participants;
  • non-essential goods stores;
  • shopping centres if their trade area exceeds 1 500 sq.m.;
  • professional beauty services;
  • library reading rooms.

EXCEPTIONS, when EU Digital COVID Certificate is not required:

  • open-air services, sales and economic activities, commercial and non-commercial cultural, entertainment, sporting events, celebrations, fairs, festivals, and other organised gatherings of people in a public place for a certain pre-established period of time, with a maximum of 500 participants;
  • visiting museum expositions and exhibitions;
  • passenger transport services;
  • paid passenger transport by taxi or private pre-booked car services;
  • in shops and marketplaces with sales area not more than 1 500 sq.m;
  • minor repair services, when contact between the service recipient and the service provider lasts no longer than 15 minutes;
  • personal health care services;
  • provision of legal services.

Face masks are required in public transport, taxies and indoor public spaces (during events, in hotels, trade and service provision points, offices, institutions, education establishments, etc.).
