Vilnius has been selected to host the prestigious City DNA Visitor Experience Expert Meeting next year. Organized by the City Destinations Alliance, this annual event gathers around 100 leading tourism professionals from across Europe to exchange best practices, explore trends, and showcase innovations. The program includes presentations, workshops, city tours, and networking opportunities.
Vilma Daubarienė, Head of Tourism at Go Vilnius, highlighted the honor of hosting such a significant event and shared that participants will experience Vilnius’ cutting-edge tourism innovations, including AI-powered personalized tourist routes at the Vilnius Tourism Information Center—an international novelty.
In a further boost to Vilnius’ tourism profile, Erika Antakova, a specialist from the Vilnius Tourism Information Center, received the TIC Hostmanship Award—Europe’s top recognition for tourism information center staff. The award, judged by top European tourism organizations, has previously been given to representatives from cities like Barcelona, Valencia, and Gothenburg.
Tourist interest in Vilnius has grown significantly, with the Tourism Information Center welcoming over 54,000 visitors in 2023, a 20% increase from 2022, with expectations to exceed 69,000 visitors this year.
