The Lithuanian Police Museum invites you to get acquainted with the historical development of the Lithuanian Police. Using modern smart technologies, it tells the story of the Lithuanian Police from its foundation to the present day.
The exhibition includes firearms, special security, radio communication and speed control equipment, service uniforms, awards and other exhibits from different periods. Every visitor is drawn to the historic BMW 1150 RT service motorcycle. On 22-23 November 2002, the motorcycle was used to escort the motorcade of the President of the United States of America, George W. Bush, who was in Lithuania. There are many other interesting historical exhibits.
The Police Museum presents a new innovative feature. Using highly advanced technologies of transparent active glass and three-dimensional hologram animation, an interactive exhibition is created. It tells the story of the Panevėžys officers treacherously murdered by the "Tulpiniai" crime organisation.
Visitors to the museum can enjoy another interactive innovation - 360-degree virtual reality video reports. Immersed in virtual reality, visitors will be able to take part in an operation carried out by the fighters of the Lithuanian Police's anti-terrorist operations team “Aras” - arresting armed criminals. Another virtual reality video tells visitors about the apprehension of criminals by a police handler and a service dog.
Visitors will be able to test their knowledge about Lithuanian police transport by trying out a technological innovation in Lithuanian museums - a magnetic puzzle game.
Moments of Lithuania's national revival and the transformation of the “milicija” into the police will be shown in special 360-degree light boxes.
