Centre for Civil Education

In short

The Centre for Civil Education is a state-of-the-art educational space that presents in detail how the state functions and how its citizens participate in the creation and management of a democratic state. The centre consists of three permanent exhibition spaces detailing the most important elements of statehood.

We invite you to get to know the country together!

Brief History

The core of the permanent exposition of the Centre for Civil Education is to ensure feedback possibilities. In addition to accessing the information provided, visitors can leave their own records or comments and become co-creators of the Centre. With the help of modern technology and augmented reality, visitors can look at an old Lada car that was used in the campaign to support Sąjūdis candidates, mark the most beautiful place in the country with Google maps, map the hometowns of active people who have contributed to state-building over the last 100 years, or create a coat of arms of their family, community, or even class. Modern technology will help you get to know a possible Presidential Day or discover the history of the Presidential Palace, and anyone who wants to become more familiar with state governance will be able to try to balance the state budget.
