Park wiśni japońskich – znany także jako Park Sakura – rozpoczął kwitnienie w stolicy Litwy, Wilnie. Okres kwitnienia sakury jest stosunkowo krótki, trwa około dwóch tygodni, zazwyczaj od końca kwietnia do początku maja. Hanami – the Japanese tradition of admiring cherry blossoms – is celebrated around the world, including in Vilnius. The Chiune Sugihara Sakura Park is one of the city's most popular springtime attractions. It features 200 sakura trees, planted in 2001 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Japanese diplomat Chiune Sugihara. Recognized as Righteous Among the Nations, Sugihara worked at the Japanese consulate in 1939-1940, issuing transit visas that saved around 6,000 Jews from Lithuania, Poland, and Germany during the Holocaust. The park was a gift from the Japanese government to Lithuania, symbolizing the friendship between the two nations.

The park is located on the right bank of the Neris River, next to the National Gallery of Art.
